Infinito Brazilian Film Festival is back, and this time for the first time in a format that can be savored and appreciated from every corner of the world.
The 24th annual Brazilian Film Festival of Miami (BRAFF) returns September 26 to October 25 of 2020, the talented and passionate producers, had to re-invent themselves in order to accommodate and comply with all rules and regulations presented by COVI-19. Founded by Adriana L. Dutra, Cláudia Dutra, and Viviane B. Spinelli, BRAFF is without a doubt of the most anticipated event of the year. The showcase of all the films is exclusively dedicated to Brazilian films in the United States. The festival gives the Brazilian communities the opportunity to feel a bit closer to home. The diversity of films been presented involves all aspects of lives, cultural, diversity, political, comedy, entertainment at it’s best, bringing forth some of the biggest names in the Brazilian film industry.
The festival is produced thanks to the support of the Miami-Dade, County Department of Cultural Affairs, General Consulate of Brazil in Miami American Airlines, E!Entertainment TV, and a tremendous and dedicated group of volunteers.
Due to the Pandemic, the producers had to go back to the drawing table, the well-attended event was no longer possible because of social distancing and the city’s new regulations. There has never been a problem without a solution and with that mentality, a virtual format was created, and with that not only criteria were met, but also extends thru-out the world, what was a Miami addition now became a global addition enriching lives all across the planet. The Brazilian film festival has always been compounded in one week, it was exciting, exuberating but was without a doubt intense for those who were planning to attend all the films that was been presented. But in the VIRTUAL format, it could be extended over four weeks, expanding the number of motion pictures to be showcased for over a hundred films. This format also provides a number of possibilities for the public to interact with actors virtually and been able to spend time asking questions. Since it’s virtual the quality of conversations can be much more interesting without the clicks and flashes at the end of every show.
In so many ways it will be an adventure that can not be missed, what a treasure to be brought back in time with a drive and all its perks in a modern world.
