Miami Beach Curfew Shuts Down South Beach Parties once again.
South Beach is a happening place on any night of the week, local and visitors can be seen dining, dancing or simply strolling down the beach. It is always a party.
When Coronavirus first comes to the surface, law enforcement has no choice but to implement new rules for the activities. It was a time of difficulties for business owners more than anything else. South Beach is predominantly supported by its restaurant, clubs, bars, art, and museums.
So the pressure to reopen was running high, local authorities had difference of opinions on the outcome on opening to soon and making it worst.
Well apparently the decision was made and with new mandataries rules and regulations, different businesses were slowly reopening.
Needless to say that was the wrong decision, since doing so the cases of Coronavirus has increased tremendously, now instead of re-building slowly curfew was once again issued to South Beach.
The curfew went into effect Saturday night, all in the hopes that with this new restrictions would stop the spread of COVID – 19
Businesses in the city’s entertainment district scrambled to shut their doors while people hurried to get back home, or to their hotels, as the curfew went into effect.
The change caught some visitors by surprise, the curfew only applies to Collins Avenue, Washington Avenue, and Ocean Drive, but everyone knows that that is the heart of the city’s nightlife.
Some residents may be living just as normal as if COVID-19 was present. So police had to take drastic measures to slow down the spread of coronavirus. People weren’t taking restrictions seriously enough.
Miami Beach was not the only area in South Florida forced to issue a mandatory curfew in response to rising cases.
Earlier this week, Broward County issued a countywide curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 p.m. until August 1st. The County will not tolerate any house gathering of private with more than 10 people.
Experts are hoping that people will realize that the numbers are only going up. Practicing social distancing and all the other procedures is now a must. One can be arrested if couth not wearing a mask while in public.
The range of emotions runs high in different areas of the country, with many states on the rise of COVID-19, and with people different of opinion it is hard to tell fiction from reality. But with hospitals reporting on the number of cases going up every day and front liners telling everyone that they reached their capacity, the choice is pretty clear, stay home, and save your life and save the lives of those around you.
